In this subject students further develop their understanding of Product Design, extending on the knowledge and skills gained as part of the Middle School Coursework.

Students engage in a broad range of designing and making activities, providing them with the opportunity to acquire and apply knowledge and skill forming the foundation of GCSE Design and Technology Studies.

The Resistant Material module involves the student in designing and making a prototype mobile phone based on a chosen theme.

A range of drawing and rendering techniques are applied in the presentation of the design ideas and a realistic model is produced.

The ultimate aim is to sell the ideas to a client.  The students work results in an exciting display of work within the school.
