Message from the Headteacher - January 2009

"We want our students to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, positive young people who have a strong sense of responsibility for their own actions, and for the good of society.

Success in examinations is extremely important to us, but so is the development of a love of learning and involvement in music, sport, drama and the arts, which broaden mind, body and spirit. Whatever their level of ability, Wolgarston seeks to inspire students to develop their talents and reach for excellence in everything they do.

Your child can expect to be taught in a stimulating environment by highly dedicated, experienced subject specialists. In 2008 our A Level results placed us amongst the top 10% of schools nationally. Our Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics value-added results were amongst the very best in the whole of Staffordshire in 2008. We have a good record of admissions to Higher Education, including Oxford and Cambridge, and to Medical Schools."
