Supervisory Science Technician

Grade: Grade 6
Salary: £17,781 - £20,099
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week term time only  

We have the following vacancy for September 2008.  This post is a permanent appointment working with successful and highly supportive subject staff within the Science department of our school.  This is a full-time, term time only post (37 hours per week). 

This post will oversee the preparation of materials, assist teaching staff with the demonstration of practical lessons, with aid with setting up of experiments, conduct routine administrative tasks, maintenance of equipment and ensure adequate safety procedures are in place.  This post will also line manage 2 members of staff.  NVQ 3 (LATA) or equivalent is preferable, or a willingness to train should be demonstrated.  Interviews are expected to be held week commencing 14^th July 2008.

The County Council is reviewing its pay structure and this post is included in the review. Please be advised therefore that the grade for this post may change.
