The Leading Parent Partnership Award
LPPA

Wolgarston High School is committed to strengthening partnerships with parents and local agencies to maximise children’s life chances as young people and eventually as adults.

Spring term update 2008

It is just over a month until we have our final verification which will take place on Monday 25th February. I hope you feel that we have made some important improvements in our partnerships with you as parents and other members of the community.
One area that we have made too little progress on is in engaging parents in their children’s learning. We have offered a joint adult/student Family Learning course but had very little positive response. What we really would like to know is how what we could provide which will enable you to support your child’s home learning. We appreciate that parents lead busy lives but are also aware that some parents feel that they need refresher sessions to help them support in subjects such as maths, ICT and science
